As part of the ongoing preparations for the opening of Sirte Bay International Airport, the Higher Committee in charge of following up on the final arrangements for the opening of the airport, formed by the decision of the Executive Director of the National Development Agency, made a field visit to the airport.

The committee was chaired by Engineer Kamal Suleiman, Director of the Strategic Projects Department, and included a group of specialists in technical, security and operational aspects.

During the visit, the committee inspected the readiness of various facilities inside the airport, including inspection and safety devices, passport offices, the National Safety Authority, and the airport administration, assessing the latest technical, security, and organizational arrangements in preparation for the upcoming opening.

Sirte Bay International Airport is a vital project that enhances infrastructure capabilities in the central region, as it is expected to contribute to the revitalization of air, commercial and economic traffic and provide air transportation services for citizens and businesses.
This project comes as part of a comprehensive plan implemented by the National Development Agency (NDA), which aims to advance development and provide modern and advanced services in various vital sectors, especially the civil aviation sector.
