As part of efforts to strengthen the agricultural sector and achieve food security in southern Libya, the Agricultural Projects Department of the National Development Agency (NDA) conducted a field visit to a number of strategic projects in the municipality of Ubari, including the Tsawa Agricultural Project, the Barjouj Agricultural Project, and the Maknousa Agricultural Project, headed by the director of the department and with the participation of a group of engineers and administrators.
The visit was aimed at assessing the readiness of the projects for the upcoming agricultural season, especially with regard to planting seeds and fruit trees, as part of a comprehensive plan aimed at revitalizing agricultural production and exploiting fertile land.
The move comes in the context of implementing the leadership’s vision of investing in local resources, supporting the national economy by creating job opportunities, empowering local communities, and promoting sustainable development paths in the southern regions.
