Under the direct instructions of the Executive Director of the National Development Agency, and within the framework of continuous follow-up of the projects implemented by the Authority in various cities, the Director of the Strategic Projects Department, Engineer Kamal Suleiman, along with the technical committee of the department, visited the city of Sebha to follow up the progress of work on strategic projects, which include the implementation of the Batal Al Obour Bridge, the implementation of the passenger terminal and maintenance of the runway at Sebha International Airport, the implementation of the Sebha International Stadium, the implementation of the Al Mashir Mosque, in addition to a number of road projects.

During the visit, a meeting was held with the implementing companies to review the completion rates of the projects, as well as discuss the main obstacles facing implementation and ways to address them in order to ensure compliance with the timetables and quality of implementation.

The Director of the Strategic Projects Department emphasized that these projects are of great importance to southern Libya, stressing the National Development Agency’s keenness to follow up on them continuously and work on their completion in line with the National Development Agency’s vision to support the development process and achieve balance between the various cities and regions in Libya.
