The implementing company, commissioned by the National Development Agency (NDA), has started the actual implementation of the Shawsh Gharbal International Stadium project, which is one of the vital sports projects that support the youth development movement in the southern region. This project comes under the direct supervision of the NDA, with the support and guidance of Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa, Deputy Commander-in-Chief, as part of the interest in enhancing sports infrastructure and empowering youth in various regions of the country.

The first phase of the project includes the implementation of a package of field and technical works at the site, most notably conducting soil field tests and preparing studies and structural designs for the stadium, in addition to carrying out accurate cadastral lifting, defining the boundaries and proportions of the site, projecting the stadium block according to the approved executive plans, as well as starting excavation work and preparing the project’s ground, and supplying granular foundation material in preparation for the implementation of the stadium’s foundation work.

This project is part of the National Development Agency’s Vision 2030, which was launched from the British capital London last May, with the aim of building a modern sports environment that embraces the talents of young people and provides them with spaces for creativity and giving, which enhances the spirit of competition and construction and contributes to achieving comprehensive and sustainable development in various fields in Libya.
