As part of the completion of the paving and development of the Corniche Road in Sirte, engineering work is continuing at an accelerated pace on the implementation of the “Al Marsa” island, a vital component of the road’s infrastructure.
The company successfully completed the removal of the old asphalt layer, followed by the implementation of the road reconstruction process using raw materials conforming to the approved technical specifications, with the layers compacted according to engineering standards to ensure the stability and longevity of the road.
The works also included the supply and construction of a stone bench for the road, as a basic stage to improve the structural stability of the upper layers, in addition to the supply, spreading and compaction of the granular base layer (Biscourse) according to the approved technical specifications, to ensure the readiness of the lower layers to bear the loads and achieve a balanced distribution of them.
It has also implemented electric ferries, extended sewage lines, and constructed rainwater drainage chambers, as part of an integrated plan to improve infrastructure.
In the current phase, work is underway on the construction of the retaining wall and the installation of “bulldozers” and “neograssy” barriers to regulate traffic and define the center island of the road, using advanced technologies and specialized machinery to ensure the highest degree of accuracy and quality.
This project comes as part of a comprehensive strategy to modernize the urban road network in Sirte, which contributes to improving the quality of public services, facilitating traffic, and raising the efficiency of infrastructure in line with sustainable development standards.
