As part of a strategic infrastructure project overseen by the General Command and supported by Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa, the patron of youth and development projects, the paving of Sirte’s western international road is progressing at an accelerated pace.

The first phase of the 50-kilometer project is being carried out in a series of meticulous technical steps. The work began with paving and preparing the “biscourse” layer (stone base) according to the highest technical specifications, followed by intensive compaction operations to ensure the durability and stability of the foundation. The third phase is currently witnessing the final paving works using high-quality asphalt, reflecting the imminent completion of this vital phase, which is supervised by the executive management ofNational Development Agency.
